What I Like About Gurnee by: Ryan O Woodland Intermediate School

I live in Gurnee, IL. It was listed as one of the US’s top destinations. There are many fantastic places you can visit. Some of the best places to go are KeyLime Cove, Six Flags Great America, Gurnee Mills, Hunt Club Waterpark, Applebees, Country Inn and Holiday Inn. My favorite place would probably be Six Flags Great America because it has tons of exciting roller coasters like the Demon, the Viper, the Batman, and the Superman. It also has water rides like Yankee Clipper, Logger’s Run, and Roaring Rapids.

When you are on a road called Tri-State Parkway going towards the attractions listed above, you can see lots of restaurants like Ihop, Denny’s, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Joe’s Crab Shack and Red Lobster. There is a road called Grand Avenue where there is a mall called Gurnee Mills. It has lots of stores like Sports Authority, Circuit City, Sears, JC Penny, Bass Pro Shop and Rain Forest Café. There is also a movie theatre in Gurnee Mills called Marcus Cinema. Also, on Grand Avenue and Hunt Club road are stores like Target, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Old Navy, Famous Footwear, Borders, Game Stop, Verizon Wireless, Office Max and Jewel Osco.

Also on Tri-State Parkway is KeyLime Cove. I have never been to KeyLime Cove, but by looking at it, I am certain that it’s a total blast to be there. On Hunt Club Road, there is also the Hunt Club Water Park. It has a water park, an athletic center, soccer and baseball fields, and basketball courts. The water park is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day every year. It has things like water slides, drop slides, and a big water fall. If you ever go there, you will agree that it is very exciting. That is all I have to say about Gurnee and its awesome attractions. You should come here and have tons of fun sometime.
